In case you missed it, yes, yes there is a festival happening right now. It is the Harvest Festival.

Circle of Healing - 2011

Having read Beruthiel's response and now Kurn's response to the Circle of Healing Questionnaire for this year/expansion, I wanted to join in the fun. So here I go!

Next Up, Festival Fallow
rooster posted at 14:45:00 on Jul 05, 2011

So there it is. Another festival come and gone. Did you get everything you wanted? Did you do everything you wanted? Did you even log in? The 2011 Midsummer Festival has come and gone and while I did a lot, there was a LOT more I wanted to do but did not get to do. cry

Not only was there a festival happening, there was also a new patch that dropped on the last week of the festival so getting things done that you wanted to might not have been possible if you or your guild had "more important" things to do playing "tree huggin hippies". wink

Now don't get me wrong. I have no issues with people that "luv the trees and all the critters that live in da forest" (hello, Mylune! biggrin ) but the new Hyjal dailies are a bit tiresome since you have to do so much of the same thing every week, every day. That though, is another post and I am here to talk about the Midsummer Festival.

Patch 4.3 - Return of the Key Ring
rooster posted at 23:00:00 on Jun 28, 2011

So today was the launch of patch 4.2 and the demise of the key ring, your bag space and a failed attempt at a peace offering. If you did not already about it, here is the original blue post. Well we now have the results of removing the keyring. As a blacksmither and long time player, this change has been a complete disaster. Here is how I see it.

Wanted, Better Hunter Talents
rooster posted at 15:00:00 on Jun 02, 2011

Today over at the WarCraft Hunters Union, @FrostHeimWHU posted a snippet by GhostCrawler from the Dev Watercooler about the new talent trees WoW received with the release of Cataclysm. Since launch, no longer can players spread their talents all over three different talent trees like we had been able to since WoW launched. This singular change to the game has been great. For the most part, filling out your talent tree is easily done. You can clearly see which talents improve your healing/dps/tanking. Gone (well, 90% of them) are the talents that only serious PvPers would take. Gone also are those really bizarre "hybrid" specs like the shockadin. That said, there is still room for improvement in some of classes.

RealID instance grouping

If you keep tabs on WoW news, I'm sure you have heard by now that soon™ you will be able to group with your friends on RealID and queue for dungeons. Oh ya, this new feature will be a premium service. Given that this feature is not available on "live" yet, it's too soon to say how great or not it is. That said, the community can offer how it fits in with their play style. So here is how I see it.
